MikroTik Updates Upgrade to latest version of RouterOS

Here you will learn How to Upgrade MikroTik firmware to latest version of RouterOS. This is easiest way for updating the RouterOS.

MikroTik routerOS is a versatile Operating System which has lots of features including firewall, VPN, load balancing, Hotspot, Radius server and many more all in one Box.

I assume that you have little bit know how of using MikroTik router with basic configuration.
Things needed for this tutorial

1. PC or Laptop
2. Cat 5 /6 Cable
3. Internet connection
4. and most important RouterBoard 

So lets get to work

1. Login to your routerBoard via Winbox
2. Goto System -> Packages then click on Check for updates
3. This will open up the update windows where you can see the Install version and available latest version
4. Now either click Download or Download & Install  button to download the updates
5. Wait for the download to complete. If you clicked the Download & Install  button then the router will reboot when download completes. 
6. Make sure you do not turn off the router during this process else may corrupt the installation.
7. Thats all
