Redirect HTTPS Hotspot login page with your own MikroTik Self Signed Certificate

Some time when you configure hotspot on Mikrotik the login page is shown to the user when they browse https:// site before their login to hotspot. This is because some are more strict on https and MikroTik hotspot does not have the SSL certificate on it by default. You have either to purchase the SSL certificate or rely on http only. But we will learn how you can create your own SSL certificate for your hotspot for free. MikroTik - Two Hotspot on same RouterBoard with Different Login Pages

Today you will learn How to configure two hotspot on same MikroTik router with different login page design.<br /> <div> <br /></div> MikroTik routerOS is a versatile Operating System which has lots of features including firewall, VPN, load balancing, Hotspot, Radius server and many more all in one Box.<br /> <br /> I assume that you are familiar with basic MikroTik configuration and hotspot. You can learn from my previous posts and my YouTube channel (Link below) more about MikroTik and other Servers.<br /> <br /> Things require for this tutorial<br /> <br /> <ol> <li>MikroTik router or PC install version with at least 3 Ethernet adaptors</li> <li>Laptop or a PC</li> <li>Ethernet Cables</li> <li>Internet connection </li> <li>Access point (Optional) </li> <li>and Hotspot login pages</li> </ol> Lets start with the setup<br /> <br /> <ol> <li> Login to your MikroTik router via Winbox</li> <li>Configure two hotspot on two separate ethernet ports</li> <li>Copy the two hotspot login folders to MikroTik (Give both folder a different name like <b>hotspot1, hotspot2</b>)</li> <li>Now goto <i>IP -> Hotspot </i></li> <li>Click on the <i>Server profile </i>and open the hotspot (hsprof1 etc) whose directory you want to change</li> <li> On next window of hotspot (hsprof1 etc) change the HTML Directory (hotspot1, hotspot 2 or whatever you have name it)</li> <li>Click OK</li> <li>Repeat step 5 to 7 for the next hotspot</li> <li>Now test your hotspots by directly connecting your PC or Laptop to MikroTik router port or through Access point. RADIUSdesk - Connect MikroTik Hotspot as Radius Client #3

Here I will show the usage of RADIUSdesk as hotspot. The RADIUSdesk come equipped with Coova chilli hotspot installed. I will try it with windows XP VM. Then I will show you how to use it with MikroTik Hotspot and Radius Client where the hotspot will be authenticated from RADIUSdesk. I assume you have already followed my previous tutorial and have the Know how of MikroTik as well. So lets get to work :)<br /> <div> <br /> <u><b>MikroTik Part</b></u><br /> <ol> <li>Open your MikroTik using winbox</li> <li>Click on <b>Radius->incomming</b> and enable “<b>Accept</b>” and then click OK</li> <li>Now in the <b>Radius</b> window click on <b>+</b> sign, this will open up <b>New Radius Server </b>window</li> <li>Enable <b>hotspot </b>and enter the IP address of YOUR RADIUSdesk (192.168.1.13 in my case) and Secret (123 in my case) then click OK</li> <li>Now goto IP->Hotspot this will open up the hotspot window</li> <li>Click on “Server Profile” tab and then double click “hsprof#” some like that which will open up the hotspot server profile</li> <li>Now click on RADIUS tab and enable “Use RADIUS” and click OK</li> <li>That’s it with MikroTik Part</li> </ol> <b><u>RADIUSdesk Part</u></b><br /> <ol> <li>Open your RADIUSdesk in browser using YOUR_IP/rd (192.168.1.13/rd ) in my case</li> <li>Click on Menu->NAS Devices->NAS Devices, this will open up the NAS Devices window</li> <li>Click on + sign and it will open up “Add NAS device” window</li> <li>Select the Owner and click Next</li> <li>You will see “Connection Type” on next screen with Direct (Fixed IP) already selected so click Next </li> <li>On the next screen Enter the IP Address, Name and Secret (192.168.1.14, MikroTik and 123) in my case and Click Next. Here note that both RADIUSdesk and MikroTik are same LAN or They must have a public IP</li> <li>On the next screen select the Realms you want connect with also there is option of “Make available to sub-providers” and “Make available to any Realms”. So do study and test and trail it what you are doing or want to do.
