Welcome to my blog with another tutorial on Restoring / flashing WiFi Router to default OEM factory firmware. In Previous tutorial we have learnt how to restore OEM factory firmware on TP-Link WiFi router. Today i am going to show you how to Restore or reinstall the factory stock firmware back on UBNT WiFi Router / Access Point. I am using UBNT Bullet M2 in this tutorial but the same method can applied for other UBNT / Ubiquiti Router / Access Point as well.

I have already install OpenWRT on my UBNT Bullet M2 WiFi Access Point for some testing purpose and now want back to UBNT / Ubiquiti default Stock firmware AirOS. The Same procedure will work from DD-WRT to default Stock firmware AirOS.

Revert back UBNT Bullet M2 firmware to OEM Factory Stock Firmware from DD-WRT or OpenWRT

So lets start
The Tools and Hardware / software firmware you will need for this are
TFTP server
UBNT stock firmware (Bullet M2 in my case)
UBNT WiFi Router / Access Point (Bullet M2 in my case)
Ethernet Cable (Cat 5 / 6 Cable)
PC / Laptop (Windows 7 / 8 / 10)

UBNT Bullet M2 Flashed / restored to Factory Stock Firmware using TFTP server

1. Download the Stock Firmware for your UBNT Router from UBNT Official Site

2. Copy the bin file to TFTP server folder

3. Change your LAN's IP Address of your PC / Laptop to 192.168.1.2

4. Launch TFTP Server and browse to folder containing bin file (Current Directory Path)

5. Click Show Dir to make sure the file is in current selected dir

6. Click on TFTP Client Tab and enter Host as 192.168.1.20 (Default IP of UBNT Router / Access Point)

7. Click the ... in front of Local File and Select the bin file (Firmware file)

8. Make sure your UBNT router / Access Point  is connected to LAN port of your Router to LAN port of PC / Laptop via Ethernet cable (Cat 5/6 cable)

6. Now Press and Hold the reset button on UBNT router and power on (Switch on) the Router (Hold it for approx 15 Seconds) till the LED light Start blinking in following pattern.

7. Now Press the PUT button on the TFTP Client Tab. You will see the firmware uploading from TFTP server followed by a confirmation message box.

8. Wait for couple of minutes to flash and reboot the UBNT router (Do not turn off your Router during this process else will brick your router)

9. Done, Now access the router from IP 192.168.1.20 (Default login is ubnt / ubnt)
