Zeroshell is a Linux distribution for servers and embedded devices aimed at providing the main network services a LAN requires. It is available in the form of Live CD or Compact Flash image and you can configure and administer it using your web browser.
The main features of this Linux distribution for Network Appliances are listed on its official site
Its a multi purpose server like Hotspot, VPN, SIP, PPPOE, Radius, Proxy server and so on and can be install on low spacs old machine
This is the installation of zeroshell on VMWare and then config management interface and a overview of it web interface
EasyHotspot is Open Source FreeRadius Web Interface and Hotspot Manager based on Chilli Spot developed in PHP and MySql which runs on Ubuntu Server.
Just goto souceforge and download the iso and install it, everything is pre installed just need a bit setting and configuration to get it work. Its best for Cable network and Wifi Network and can be deployed in Schools, colleges, Universities, cafe, Hotels, community center etc at ease.
There are tons of URL shortening services available but some on these pay you for using their service. One such service of URL shortening is adfly. So get register and shorten your long URL and get paid. Here is the link to adfly
In this tutorial we will install Windows Movie Maker on Windows 7 / 8 / 10. Windows Movie Maker is free from Microsoft. It was builtin feature in windows previously but afterward it removed and can be install from Microsoft site in Windows Essential. After installation will learn how to make photo slide show or Pictures Movie.
We will add photo slide transition and effect along with start and end Caption and credits in our Photos slide show.
I have some of the nature shot took during my tour to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K).
At the end we convert it to mp4 movie format to be played in media players.

Some time your SD card or USB space show zero or less space than it capacity when you try to format it. I have 16GB USB on which I have install RemixOS PC android x86 for testing purpose. But after testing when I was try to use the same USB for data it show only 1.46GB. So let reclaim our lost space now
Run command prompt (cmd) as administrator
Type
# diskpart <Enter>
# list disk <It will list all the disk install on your PC / laptop>
# select disk number <Where number is the disk number you want to reclaim space>
# list partition <This will list all partition on the selected disk>
# select partition number <Where number is the partition number on selected disk>
# delete partition <It will delete the selected partition on the selected disk>
Repeat step 4 to 6 till all partitions are deleted on the Selected disk
# clean
# create partition primary
Now all done, just Remove the USB disk / SD Card and re plug will show all the space

Today we will learn how to configure VPN Server L2TP IPSec on MikroTik router and setup VPN client on Microsoft Windows XP for testing the VPN server.
MikroTik RouterOS is powerful Linux based OS and have lots of features
from firewall to Load balance and hotspot to VPN server. One of these is builtin radius server userman which serve as central user database and billing AAA server (Prepaid and postpaid) for all the service which support Radius client (NAS) even for remote NAS clients.
I assume that you are familiar with MikroTik with basic configuration and menus. So lets get to work.
MikroTik Part
Login to your MikroTik via winbox
Goto IP -> IP Pool and click + (plus)
On the new dialog of IP Pool Enter (in my case)
Name : L2TP-IP-pool1
Addresses : 172.16.20.2-172.16.8.254
OK
Goto IP -> Firewall -> NAT and click on + (plus) Enter following (in my case)
On General Tab
Chain : srcnat
Src Address : 172.16.20.0/24
On Action tab
Action : masquerade
Click OK
Goto IP -> IPSec -> peers and click + (plus) and enter following (in my case)
Secret : 1234
Exchange Mode : main l2tp
Check Send initial contact
My ID : auto
Proposal Check : obey
Hash Algorithm : sha1
Encryption Algorithm : 3des, aes128
D/H Group : modp 1024
Generate Policy : port override
Click OK
Now Click on Proposal tab on IPSec windows and open the default
Check sha1, 3des, aes128 cbc, aes256 cbc and PFS Group : none and Click OK
Now goto PPP and Click L2TP server button and Check enable, Use IPSec and enter IPSec Secret : 1234 and Click OK
Now Goto Profiles tabon PPP and click + (plus) and enter following (in my case)
Name : L2TP-IPSec-profile1
Local Address : 172.16.20.1
Remote Address : L2TP-IP-Pool1
Click on Proposal tab and Check Required
Click OK
Now Goto Secret tab and Click + (plus) and enter following on New PPP Secret
Name : l2tp
Password : l2tp
Service : l2tp
Profile : L2TP-IPSec-profile1
Click OK
That's all for MikroTik
Now comes the Microsoft Windows XP Part
Login to your Windows XP Machine (in my case)
Goto My Network Properties
Click Create New Connection to open New connection Wizard
Click Next
Select Connect to the network at my workplace and click Next
Select Virtual Private Network Connection and click Next
Company Name enter anything L2TP VPN Connection in my case and Click Next
Enter the Host Name or IP address 10.0.0.1 (in my case Gateway) and Click Next
Click Finish
Now open the created Connection and enter the Username/ Password l2tp/l2tp (in my case)
Click Properties - > Security tab and Click IPSec settings...
and Enter the Key 1234 and Click OK
Click on Networking Tab and Select Type of VPN as L2TP IPSec VPN and Click OK
Now Click Connect
You shall connect to the L2TP VPN Server
You can use userman Radius Server for userman and Password

I assume that you are familiar with MikroTik Hotspot, PPPOE and userman server. So lets get to work.
MikroTik Part
Login to your MikroTik via winbox
Setup hotspot on ether2 (in my case) and enable Use Radius in the Server profile tab of hotspot
Setup PPPOE server ether2 (in my case) and enable Use Radius on Secrets -> PPP Authentication & Accounting
Now setup Radius by adding 127.0.0.1, secret and check the ppp and hotspot
That's all for MikroTik
Now comes the Userman Radius Part
Login to userman by typing IP-Address-Of-MikroTik/userman in browser
The default login is admin with no password
Then goto Routers -> Add -> New and Enter Name, 127.0.0.1, secret (as give in step 4 above)
Click Add
Now goto Users -> Add -> One and fill out the user details
That's all for userman
All done, Now test this user from client machine for hotspot as well as PPPOE dialer

Here you will learn how to Upgrade Huawei P8 Lite Dual SIM (ALE-L21) from Android 5.0.1 Lollipop to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Huawei P8 Lite has Octa-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB Memory, 13 MP rear, 5 MP Front camera, Dual Sim 4G any many other features.
Note and Make sure that Your Phone Huawei P8 Lite ALE-L21 has
1. Battery is more than 50%
2. is not connected to PC / laptop or on Charging while starting Upgrade
3. Got your data backed up
4. Have 4 GB space on SD card or internal memory
Lets start with the Upgrade (Read the Instructions carefully before you start)
1. Goto Download link in my case (Note its for Middle East find update on the Huawei site for your region) Huawei site and download Huawei firmware for your phone
2. Extract the zip files
3. Copy the "dload" folder to your SD card or Mobile memory (root Directory)
4. Power off your phone
5. Now Press and hold the Volum + , Volum - and Power button to start the phone in update install mode
6. Wait for the update install completion. The Phone will reboot on completion
7. Wait for initial system optimisation and then will ask for some setting like language selection, email etc
8. Congratulation All Done you have upgraded to Marshmallow
Note : I have installed it on my personal phone. Do it at your own risk if any thing goes on your phone

Here you will learn How to Upgrade MikroTik firmware to latest version of RouterOS. This is easiest way for updating the RouterOS.
MikroTik routerOS is a versatile Operating System which has lots of features including firewall, VPN, load balancing, Hotspot, Radius server and many more all in one Box.
I assume that you have little bit know how of using MikroTik router with basic configuration.
Things needed for this tutorial
PC or Laptop
Cat 5 /6 Cable
Internet connection
and most important RouterBoard
So lets get to work
Login to your routerBoard via Winbox
Goto System -> Packages then click on Check for updates
This will open up the update windows where you can see the Install version and available latest version
Now either click Download or Download & Install button to download the updates
Wait for the download to complete. If you clicked the Download & Install button then the router will reboot when download completes.
Make sure you do not turn off the router during this process else may corrupt the installation.

Today you will learn How to configure two hotspot on same MikroTik router with different login page design.
MikroTik routerOS is a versatile Operating System which has lots of features including firewall, VPN, load balancing, Hotspot, Radius server and many more all in one Box.
I assume that you are familiar with basic MikroTik configuration and hotspot. You can learn from my previous posts and my YouTube channel (Link below) more about MikroTik and other Servers.
Things require for this tutorial
MikroTik router or PC install version with at least 3 Ethernet adaptors
Laptop or a PC
Ethernet Cables
Internet connection
Access point (Optional)
and Hotspot login pages
Lets start with the setup
Login to your MikroTik router via Winbox
Configure two hotspot on two separate ethernet ports
Copy the two hotspot login folders to MikroTik (Give both folder a different name like hotspot1, hotspot2)
Now goto IP -> Hotspot
Click on the Server profile and open the hotspot (hsprof1 etc) whose directory you want to change
On next window of hotspot (hsprof1 etc) change the HTML Directory (hotspot1, hotspot 2 or whatever you have name it)
Click OK
Repeat step 5 to 7 for the next hotspot
Now test your hotspots by directly connecting your PC or Laptop to MikroTik router port or through Access point. You will now be redirected to hotspot login page.
Repeat the Step 9 for other port and see the result
You will see that both the Hotspot are now redirect you to entirely different Login page Template

I assume that you are familiar with MikroTik basic and userman
Login to your MikroTik userman by typing IP-Address-Of-MikroTik/userman in browser
The default login is admin with no password
Then goto Setting -> Template
On the Template tab select the Vouchers from dropdown in front of Name
Copy and paste the code from the given file in Header, Row, Footer, and Break and Save the Template
Now Click the Users and Select all the users you want to print (Create batch user if don't have users in list)
Click Generate -> Vouchers on the users menu
This will open up Vouchers dialog box, Click the Download as file and Click Generate button
This will generate your voucher on custom template and download as html file
Important :Make sure you update the IP to reflect your Hotspot IP, and point it to a valid logo image according to yours (See video for more detail)
Now Try from your phone install with QR Code Reader

MikroTik logs various system events and status information. These Logs are saved in routers memory (RAM), disk, file, sent by email or even sent to remote syslog server. All those logs are saved in Router’s local memory can be viewed from Log menu and any log entry contains time and date when event occurred. But these local log info is not enough for analyzing and reports of user’s activity. For make use of report and analysis on logs, we will need to configure a remote syslog server WebProxy Log Analyzer there by giving us the leverage to carryout different analysis of desired information.
WebProxy-Log is a syslog server based on Windows. Webproxy-log requires configuration at two parts.
MikroTik part - Config for remote Syslog Server.
Syslog Server Part - Webproxy-Log config on Windows Machine (XP, 7, 8 or 10).
I assume that you know the basic configuration of MikroTik Router. So lets get to work :)
MikroTik Part
Login to your MikroTik router with Winbox (Skip step 2-6 if you have already enable web proxy in transparent mode)
Goto IP -> Web Proxy and Click Enable then Click OK (Web Proxy Enabled :-) )
Now goto IP -> Firewall -> NAT and Click Plus (+)
On General Tab
Chain : dstnat
Src Address : 192.168.88.0/24 (This my LAN IP Network, Enter yours)
Protocol : 6(tcp)
Dst Port : 80
On Action Tab
Action : redirect
To ports : 8080
Click Ok
Now goto System -> Logging
On Action Tab Click (+)
On Open Log Action window Enter
Name : webproxylogs,
Type : remote
Remote Address : 192.168.88.253 (In my case IP address of syslog Server)
Click OK
Now Click on Rules tab and then Click (+)
on New Log Rule window Enter
Topic : web-proxy
Prefix : Proxy
Action : webproxylogs (This is created in step 9 above)
That all for MikroTik part
Now come to Webproxy-Log part on windows
Download theWebproxy-logand Install it on your Windows machine
Double click the Webproxy-log icon on windows desktop after installation completes
This will open up WebProxy Log Catcher Configuration
Enter the IP Address : 192.168.88.253, Buffer : 400, Set the Logging Locations : any Folder on your windows system
Click OK
Now the WebProxy Log will open up
Goto Setting -> General
On the General Setting windows just check the setting and click OK
Now Click File - > Import Log
Browse to the Log folder and Select it and Click Import. You will see a message
Now Click Reports -> Top 10 Servers
This will show you the Top 10 Server in Pi Graph chart

No internet Access or Limited is shown on your Windows Wifi or Lan machine or laptop. To solve this here are the hints or tips
First check your WiFi or Lan network Properties for any static IP. remove the static IP and select Obtain IP address Automatically. Then try to connect to your WiFi router.
If Step 1 is done and you are obtaining IP from your WiFi router then Ping the gateway IP normally the Wifi router IP is gateway IP (192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254). Then try to ping google DNS 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4
if still not working then disable / enable the wifi adapter (My laptop with windows 8.1 normal does not release previous IP and when connect to some other wifi network it give Limited)
If it still not working check your Wifi WAN cable (ADSL or Ethernet Cable)
Try using Network Diagnostic or restart the machine.
Also check if the Wifi network is providing IP automatically (DHCP Server enabled) or on static IP
These are my personal hints and There is no exact solution and any one step above can solved the Limited Network Access problem. So these may or may not work in your situation.
